Founded in 2010 in Buenos Aires by Julian Bedel, Fueguia 1833 is a unique concept in the universe of the worldwide perfumery. The source of inspiration is Argentina, the land where Bedel was born and where he spent his childhood. The land being an inexhaustible source of stimuli for creating new fragrances, and the brand being a personal tribute to the history, art, music, and nature that distinguish the vibrant culture of South America.
The brand now has headquarters in Milan and sells all over the world, either through its stylish boutiques or online. The latest addition is a Fueguia 1833 shop inside Bloomingdale's Dubai Mall.

While Bedel has already delved into Oud fragrances, most famously with his Qatari collaboration Msheireb launched in 2020, recently he has been using varieties of Oud coming from different South American regions. His newest creation along those olfactory lines is Rosa de la Patagonia, a light variation on the rose-Oud combination. Personally, I've been wearing the fragrance since early January when I was gifted an early sample, and I have women stop me in shoppes asking me for the name and brand. "It's so subtle and yet, unforgettable," one woman said to me. And I agree, but will also add, addictive.
The ingredients used by Bedel are a magic trio of Rosa Patagonica, Patagonian Oud and Charcao, a type of shrub that grows in South America. Bedel himself describes Rosa de la Patagonia as "A hybrid rose, born from the cold land of Patagonia meets the mysterious Oud from the Southern Patagonia mountains." A match made in heaven.
The new creation will be available in New York (Madison and Soho) and Milano galleries from March 8, 2022, but also online in Europe and North America. For the Gulf region, the launch will be in September, through Bloomies Dubai and Ounass online.
