The six-part series, from Peaky Blinders creator Steven Knight, has recently wrapped filming in Morocco and the UK and it set to screen next year. It is based on Ben Macintyre’s book of the same name, and details the formation of the special forces unit the Special Air Service during World War II.

Algerian actress Sofia Boutella plays Eve, one of the series leads, and she has been enthusing about the series on her Instagram site, posting a picture of her character and writing: ”Very excited to share the first look at SAS Rogue Heroes.”

Dancer-turned actress Boutella is a constantly in demand actress following major roles in Atomic Blonde with Charlize Theron; alongside Tom Cruise in The Mummy and in films such as Kingsman: The Secret Service, Star Trek Beyond and Hotel Artemis. Her film breakthrough came in British dance film StreetDance 2 and she has also recently wrapped sci-fi comedy Alpha Gang and horror film Cuckoo.
