Karama Yemen Human Rights Film Fest joins HRFN

A festival near and dear to our hearts, the Karama Yemen Human Rights Film Festival, powered by the Youth of the World Together Organization (YWT Org), has become a member of the Human Rights Film Network (HRFN). It joins Human Rights Film Festival Berlin and Festival de Cine y Derechos Humanos de Vieques in Puerto Rico.

As a global partnership of more than 40 human rights film festivals from around the world, the HRFN showcases and supports films that address human rights issues. The Karama Yemen partnership with HRFN provides the festival a platform to collaborate with other festivals, exchange knowledge and expertise, and increase the visibility of Yemeni human rights films on a global scale. This achievement is a testament to the hard work and dedication of their team, volunteers, and partners, in promoting human rights through film.

The Karama Yemen Human Rights Film Festival continues to promote human rights and social justice in Yemen by using the power of film. Through the festival, Yemeni filmmakers are given a platform to showcase their work, while facilitating dialogue and engagement on human rights issues in Yemen.

Our own E. Nina Rothe served on their Short Documentary Jury last year.
