On the long-awaited second season of Netflix hit Emily in Paris now available to stream, fashion fans are getting a healthy hit of top designs with Emily Cooper (Lily Collins) and her best friend Mindy Chen (Ashley Park) back looking stylish in the glorious-looking French city.
According to some, Emily’s sartorial style has evolved this season, with the Chicago native’s wardrobe taking a colourful turn, but the key thing is that top designers are on show, including Valentino, Balmain, Oscar de la Renta, Roger Vivier, Mary Katrantzou, La Perla, Vassilis Zoulias and Rianna + Nina, as well as a selection of under-the-radar designers.
In season two’s opener — titled Voulez-Vous Coucher Avec Moi? — Emily heads into her marketing firm’s office wearing a green jacket with short sleeves by Lebanese designer Elie Saab. Apparently for this season the stylists behind the show have also embraced sustainability, with all of the couture looks supplied by the Paris-based Renaissance Project, a non-profit that recycles cast-off clothes.

The 10-part series will naturally divide audiences, but it will also hit the right note for retailers. In November, WWD magazine reported that a number of retail sites have partnered with Netflix to feature a selection of looks from the show, curated from luxury brands.
