The upcoming Laal Singh Chaddha will release in theatres as early as August 11th and stars Aamir Khan. The Indian Hindi-language comedy drama adaptation of the Tom Hanks starrer Forrest Gump is directed by Advait Chandan from a screenplay written by Eric Roth and adapted by Atul Kulkarni. The film is produced by Aamir Khan Productions, Viacom18 Studios and Paramount Pictures.
But while we can't make August 11th roll around fast enough (actually, in the UK you'll have to wait an extra day as Laal Singh Chaddha will open on the 12th!) we can gift you the soundtrack songs released so far. You're welcome!
What we love about this upcoming remake is that it will allow a showcase of Indian event throughout the last century, much as Forrest Gump walked us through American history. And the film is officially approved as a remake, getting the seal of the original distribution company Paramount, which is also releasing Laal Singh Chaddha.
Not to mention that everything Aamir Khan touches seems to turn to gold. And from the response of those who have already watched the film, this will be no exception.
