Million Dollar Listing: Los Angeles star Josh Altman visited Abu Dhabi this week to speak at Aldar Experts, a training academy designed to engage and upskill real estate brokers in Abu Dhabi. During his visit, Altman praised the upcoming UAE version of the Emmy-award winning series, Million Dollar Listing, which will air in the UAE in 2023.
Altman shot to fame as the lead broker on Million Dollar Listing: Los Angeles in 2011. While in Abu Dhabi he spoke about his role in the series and encouraged local brokers to take part.
“There is no better place I can imagine for the first international Million Dollar Listing franchise to take place than the UAE. Between the incredible properties and glamorous lifestyle, I think you will be giving us some major competition back in L.A,” said Altman during his appearance. “Million Dollar Listing was a life changing opportunity for me and helped to skyrocket my career as a broker and motivational speaker. It’s an incredible platform to showcase not only the incredible developments in the UAE, but also the culture and lives of those who live here. Image Nation Abu Dhabi secured the rights for the NBCUniversal Formats’ Emmy Award winning reality television format earlier this year and have begun pre-production on the first international version of the franchise. Leading UAE property developer Aldar is partnering with the show, which will feature some of the developer’s luxury properties across Abu Dhabi’s most desirable locations. Luxury developer Innovate Living is also on board as a partner to showcase properties across Dubai.
The Million Dollar Listing format started in the US in 2006 and over 13 seasons has proven a popular format, winning two Emmy Awards. Image Nation has licensed the rights to the franchise from NBCUniversal Formats, which is part of Universal International Studios, a division of Universal Studio Group.
