American-Palestinian-Dutch supermodel and entrepreneur Bella Hadid is to make her acting debut in the upcoming third season of Hulu’s Emmy-nominated comedy Ramy.
In an Instagram post she confirmed she will appear in the series, created by and starring Arab-American Ramy Youssef, which is set air later this year. The series also stars Amr Waked, Mohammed Amer, May Calamawy and Hiam Abbass. As yet there are no details on her character in the series but it will be a recurring role.
The series is set in New Jersey, in the US and follows Ramy (Youssef), son of Egyptian immigrants, as he begins a spiritual journey, divided between his Muslim community, God, and his friends who see endless possibilities.
Hadid wrote on Instagram: ”aka the local backgammon tournament best cast, best crew, best show honored & excited .♥️ yallaaaa @ramy if you haven’t watched the first two seasons…. go. run. now. 🙏🏽love you.”
