Oualid Mouaness' touching coming of age drama 1982 is finally coming to the US. LA based Tricycle Logic has set the dates, with the release beginning June 10 at the Quad Cinema in New York and expanding to Los Angeles on June 24, with a national rollout to follow throughout the summer.
On the eve of the Israeli invasion, 11-year old Wissam tries to get the attention of his classmate Joanna, while the teachers and staff all around them prepare for the worst. Lebanese filmmaker and actress Nadine Labaki plays their beloved teacher, who is hiding her own problems from home.
With the US release, comes a new poster of course.

The film will also be released in Mexico on May 26 via Tulip Pictures and Brazil on June 2 via Estudio Escarlate, while Taiwan's release is on the same date as the US on June 10 via A Really Good Film Co.
