Opening night of the Festival de Cannes turned into a "pink carpet" affair thanks to the wonderful Valentino ensembles worn by opening film leading lady Bérénice Bejo and German fashion blogger and model Caroline "Caro" Daur. The women dressed in head to toe Valentino looks from the Maison's Fall Winter 22/23 Pink PP collection.

Fashion week regular, model, influencer and beauty entrepreneur Rahi Chadda was also seen on the red carpet in head to toe Valentino Fall Winter 22/23 Pink PP collection but opted for the #BlackEdition "tuxedo" with appliques and a black lace shirt.

Bejo looked radiant, flanked by her hubby and opening night filmmaker Michel Hazanavicius and French/British actor Finnegan Oldfield -- posing for photographers on the red carpet of the opening ceremony of the Festival de Cannes. Coupez! (Final Cut) kicked off the festival out of competition and is a zombie film within a film with a twist. The reviews have been positive and we like this one in Deadline.

The film was originally planned to open the Sundance Film Festival earlier this year, before the festival went virtual due to the ongoing pandemic.

More than 5M cinema-lovers followed the opening ceremony of the festival live on France 2. The show recorded its highest ever market share (12.2%) and best ratings since 2011 (1.8M viewers).

On Brut, videos published on the occasion of the Opening Ceremony recorded a total of 10.6 million views worldwide, including 5.2 million in France.

The festival continues until May 28th.
