Jake Gyllenhaal and his Nine Stories producing partner Riva Marker just gushed on their newsletter: "The Guilty has been a passion project since we first saw Gustav Möller's brilliant Den skyldige at the Sundance Film Festival in 2018. Teaming with the great Antoine Fuqua to bring this story to life in the middle of a pandemic was an experience for the books, and we are so grateful to our incredible cast and crew who worked tirelessly to get this film made in just 11 days. And a tremendous thank you to our friends at Netflix, too."
The film, which takes place over the course of a single morning in a 911 dispatch center as Gyllenhaal's character tries to negotiate a kidnapping, is currently playing in select theaters in the United States, the United Kingdom and Japan. But not to worry Jake Gyllenhaal fans, as it will hit a screen near you, on Netflix, next Friday, 1st October, 2021.
Check out the film's cool website too.
