The fact that Hollywood stars Zac Efron and Jessica Alba have taken to their respective Instagram accounts to share photographs – but little actual information – from a project they are shooting in Dubai has caused a modest internet storm as sites hotly debate what the pair are up to in the UAE
In a series of images tagged as Dubai, the pair are seen around the city, and also note in their comments that they are being directed by Australian filmmaker Craig Gillespie, who most recently directed the Disney hit Cruella.
Given that their time in Dubai has been pretty much under the radar until their postings, it seems most likely they are involved with a commercial or promotional project, especially given films and television series take a lot of funding, preparation and tend to be announced well in advance.
Still, they seem to be happily embracing a bunch of super-cool Dubai cliches in suitably stylish fashion. Jessica Alba is shown in one image walking a blue carpet away from the Burj Al Arab helipad with a film crew around her, and she captioned the post ‘Arriving in style’ with a UAE flag emoji.
Ephron posted a picture of him sporting a natty brown two-piece suit (and blue crash helmet) sat on a matching brown Vespa scooter, with the location tagged as the Al Fahidi area. But the series of posts started with a close-up shot of the pair being filmed in a black 4×4, with the location tagged as Dubai, UAE. Both shared the picture on their respective Instagrams, captioning with a #ComingSoon tag.
All will be revealed in due course…but it is, at the very least, great promotional stuff for Dubai…and likely also very beneficial for Zac Efron and Jessica Alba.
